Edge protocol期望成為「人民的銀行」，使用者可以依照自己的需求，設定自己的條件與使用方式；這樣的服務應該要是高效率並且去中心化的。
Edge protocol期望未來的銀行應該是被使用者自定義的規則做監管，而不是透過任何的權力機構監管。

Edge protocol 所提供的服務是什麼？
Edge protocol是個 Money-market-as-a-service 協議。也就是提供你工具，創造自己的資金市場規則。筆者覺得可以想像成過去的「標會」，一群人可以聚集自己的共同資金，並且自定義使用規則。
白話來說，Edge protocol提供工具，讓不同的資產放到公用資金池當中，讓需要的人自行借貸，借款人可以依照自己的喜好去選擇想要借的資產類別。
去分析Edge protocol所提供的產品細節，可以分為三個向度
- 客製化建立自己的資金池（Customizable pool creation）
- 邊緣市場（Edge Marketplace），就是提供借方與貸方能運用資金的地方
- 穩定儲備（Stability Reserve），流動性的意思

透過Edge protocol的介面，任何協議可以創造自有的資金市場，並且可以行自行設計下列參數：
- Oracle & Asset Listing
- Risk parameters for each asset — collateral factor, borrowing factor, etc.
- Interest rate model — select the target utilization rate model % fee shared — select percentage of fees collected from transactions across your pool
- Whitelisted contract — select whitelisted contract address for a specific group of people

Edge protocol是工具，而不是貨幣市場本身，所提供的服務是讓有需求的人，可以在最基本的規範下完成借貸。

在產品的第一階段，Edge protocol所提供的是「基於協議的資金池」，初期正在與Terra生態上的各大協議協作，共同去探索更多的使用方式。
舉例來說，Stader protocol 就做了很多相關的方式，主要基於 LunaX-Luna 這樣的操作。
第二階段為「基於社群的資金池」
第三階段為「你的銀行」

關於Edge protocol的常見問題
當借貸池子滿了之後，會發生什麼事？
Users will not be allowed to supply any additional assets. Edge will thoroughly make sure the pool is well secured before considering the option of raising the maximum capacity.
借出資產的回報有多少？
Your earning will evolve with the utilization rate of that asset. A high utilization rate indicates strong demand for that asset, hence, high yield. APY and other parameters regarding an asset can be found in the ‘Asset Info’ section at the bottom of the pool. Please also note that there is always a transaction fee. So if you are planning on lending out a small amount of asset, you should make sure that it is not too small that the transaction fee will outweigh the yield earned.
