Summary

Flashback, whose official account is hello.flashback, is a local photo booth brand from Bangkok, Thailand. Its operator is Photon Corporation Co., Ltd. (บริษัท โฟตอน คอร์เปอเรชั่น จำกัด), registered with Thailand’s Department of Business Development under number 0105563072877. The company was established on May 14, 2020, has registered capital of 1 million baht, and has four shareholders, all Thai nationals. Its co-founders are Om (พิธิวัฒน์ ศิริอำพันธ์กุล), Dear (ธนพล พิมพ์ผิว), and Pak (ภควัต ปัทมะ). The three originally built interactive installations for events under the Photon name, then shifted to consumer photo booths during the pandemic. Flashback accounts for 32 of the 73 Thai venues listed on this site’s photo booth map, or 44%, making it the brand with the most listed venues. However, according to the brand’s official location data from September 2026, only two of its 30 venues are stores bearing its own sign: Flashback Mansion in Ari and Flashback Memories Store at GUMP’s Ari. The other 28 are booths placed inside cafés, bars, and clothing stores. Counting only dedicated stores, Photoism leads in Thailand with nine. Photon Corporation reported revenue of 29.77 million baht and net profit of 560,000 baht in 2025. Revenue includes event rentals, so the photo booth business cannot be separated out.

Key facts

  • Flashback’s operator is Photon Corporation Co., Ltd., registered with Thailand’s Department of Business Development under number 0105563072877. It was established on May 14, 2020. Registered capital increased from 500,000 to 1 million baht on March 18, 2021. All four shareholders are Thai nationals.
  • The four directors registered with the Department of Business Development are ธนพล พิมพ์ผิว, ภควัต ปัทมะ, พิธิวัฒน์ ศิริอำพันธ์กุล, and ธนพงศ์ พานิชชอบ. The first three are the co-founders identified in media coverage as Dear, Pak, and Om.
  • On September 25, 2026, the brand’s official location data contained 38 entries, all marked as operating. Consolidating entries at the same venue gives 30 venues, three of which are outside Bangkok: Chiang Mai, Tak Province, and Kaeng Krachan in Phetchaburi Province.
  • Only two of those 30 venues are stores bearing Flashback’s own sign: Flashback Mansion in Ari, whose opening was officially announced on May 22, 2026, and Flashback Memories Store at GUMP’s Ari. The remaining 28 are booths placed inside cafés, bars, and clothing stores.
  • Of the 73 Thai venues listed on this site’s photo booth map, 32 belong to Flashback: 44%, with four verified and 28 awaiting confirmation as of September 25, 2026. There are 29 in Bangkok and one each in Chiang Mai, Tak Province, and Phetchaburi Province. Flashback has the most listed venues; counting only dedicated stores, Photoism leads with nine.
  • Photon Corporation’s annual revenue from 2021 through 2025 was 8.08 million, 17.42 million, 12.23 million, 12.24 million, and 29.77 million baht, respectively. It was profitable in all five years. Its 2025 net profit was 560,000 baht, with a net margin of approximately 1.9%.
  • An official X thread from December 2021 listed prices of 100 or 150 baht per session. The November 2024 give.me.museums collaboration cost 150 baht per session and included a postcard.

Flashback is a local photo booth brand from Bangkok, Thailand. Behind it is Photon Corporation, a small company registered in 2020 with capital of 1 million baht. On this site’s Thailand photo booth map, it has the most listed venues of any brand: 32 out of 73, or more than 40%.

But that “number one in Thailand” claim needs qualification. Of the 30 venues listed on Flashback’s official website, only two are stores bearing its own sign. The remaining 28 have its booths inside other businesses’ cafés, bars, clothing stores, and nail salons. If we count only dedicated stores, the Korean brand Photoism has the most in Thailand, with nine.

This article examines the counting methods, company, founders, business model, and history separately. Thailand does not have a third-party photo booth store directory comparable to those in South Korea and Japan, so this research relies on three types of firsthand sources: company registration records and financial statements from Thailand’s Department of Business Development (DBD), Flashback’s own website and social accounts, and two interviews published by Thai-language media. Thai originals appear at the points of quotation, followed here by English translations. All monetary amounts remain in Thai baht, without currency conversion.

The original Chinese article was published and last updated on September 25, 2026. The research dates and market figures below retain that historical snapshot.

How Many Flashback Locations Are There in Thailand? Three Official Lists and This Site’s Listings

First, let’s align the figures, because there are at least four ways to count this brand’s locations.

Counting basis Figure Source and verification date
Brand’s official website location data 38 machines, consolidated into 30 venues helloflashback.com location data, checked September 25, 2026
Official Instagram location graphic 30 venues hello.flashback post, published July 17, 2026
Official shared Google Maps list 30 locations, created by Photon Corporation Flashback Photobooth list, checked September 25, 2026
This site’s photo booth map listings 32 venues: 4 verified, 28 awaiting confirmation Flashback brand page on photobooth.joelin.cc, checked September 25, 2026; not an official nationwide total

The three official sources agree on 30 venues. The website has eight additional entries because its unit is the machine: Flashback Mansion in Ari alone has five registered units, comprising four photo rooms and one ID photo booth, while Flashback Memories Store at GUMP’s Ari has four.

This site’s 32 listed venues comprise all 30 official venues plus two older locations absent from the brand’s latest official list. On September 25, 2026, this site checked its listings against the official website’s location data, entry by entry, and made three changes:

  • Added four venues that appeared in the official data but were missing from this site: three outside Bangkok—Goofy Juice in Chiang Mai, Tieng Na Coffee and Bakery Farm in Tak Province, and Coastly in Kaeng Krachan, Phetchaburi Province—and Kantima Salon in Bangkok’s Charoen Nakhon area. The official location graphic calls the latter Old Day Bloom Cafe (Chareonnakorn).
  • The other Old Day Bloom Café shown on the official location graphic, at Siam Square Soi 2, was already listed on this site. It shares a building with Kantima Salon, and the official website records them as a single entry, so they are not counted twice.
  • Reclassified the GUMP’s Ari location from a hosted booth to a dedicated store, for the reasons explained in the next section.

The two additional older locations are Frank! Garcon in Siam Square and Cloud 11. Frank! Garcon is absent from all three official lists. Cloud 11 remains on the official Google Maps list but is absent from the website’s location data. This site checked both locations: their host businesses were operating normally, with no record of closure. An omission from a list only means the brand did not include the location that time; it does not mean the booth has been removed. Both therefore remain listed as awaiting confirmation, to be removed when there is evidence of closure.

The total of 73 Thai venues is also this site’s listing count, not an official statistic. No institution publishes a total number of photo booth stores in Thailand. In this respect, Thailand is no different from Taiwan or South Korea.

Who Leads Thailand’s Photo Booth Market? Counting Only Stores, It Is Photoism

Flashback’s share of more than 40% needs qualification because the Thai listings mix two very different things. One is a photo booth store that the brand leases and fits out itself, with its own storefront. The other is an unattended photo booth placed in a corner of someone else’s business: the venue supplies the space, and the brand supplies the machine and photo frames.

Thai photo booth brands’ venue counts, separated into dedicated stores and hosted booths: Flashback has 32 venues, comprising 2 stores and 30 hosted booths; all 9 Photoism locations are stores; Life 4 Cuts has 8; Haru Film has 7; DOTL.S.D has 7, comprising 3 stores and 4 hosted booths; Sculpture has 5. Counting only dedicated stores, Photoism leads with 9

Brand Country of origin Venues listed on this site Dedicated stores Hosted booths
Flashback Thailand 32 2 30
Photoism South Korea 9 9 0
Life 4 Cuts South Korea 8 8 0
Haru Film South Korea 7 7 0
DOTL.S.D Thailand 7 3 4
Sculpture Thailand 5 5 0

This table uses the Thai listings on this site’s photo booth map, checked on September 25, 2026. Flashback’s two dedicated stores are Flashback Mansion in Ari and Flashback Memories Store at GUMP’s Ari. This site previously classified the latter as a hosted booth location, but the official website identifies it as a store bearing Flashback’s own sign, with three photo rooms and one machine outside. This site has therefore reclassified it as a store. It is located inside the GUMP’s Ari community mall and has Flashback’s own signage, which is different from placing a booth inside someone else’s business.

The table’s conclusion is straightforward: Korean brands in Thailand—Photoism, Life 4 Cuts, and Haru Film—follow the same store-opening model they use in Taiwan, entering malls and opening retail outlets. Thai brands, by contrast, take an asset-light approach. Flashback relies almost entirely on hosted booths, while more than half of DOTL.S.D’s locations are booths inside Chiang Mai cafés. Thus, the statement that “Flashback accounts for more than 40% of Thailand’s locations” holds only if a machine in the corner of a café counts as a location. Using the “how many stores?” definition familiar to Taiwanese readers, it has just two, placing it behind Photoism, Life 4 Cuts, Haru Film, Sculpture, and DOTL.S.D.

I have written a separate company study on the financial statements of Photoism’s parent company.

The legal entity behind the brand is Photon Corporation, registered with Thailand’s Department of Business Development. Everything below comes from the department’s public database, DBD DataWarehouse+. Search using registration number 0105563072877. The database displayed a data date of September 24, 2026; this site checked it on September 25, 2026.

The registered business classification is exhibition and event organization, rather than photography or retail. This fits the company’s origins: Photon began as a business making interactive installations for events, and photo booths emerged later as a product line. Its registered address on Pradiphat Road is not far from Ari, where Flashback’s two dedicated stores are located.

The website listed in the registration records, photonbkk.com, was inaccessible when checked on September 25, 2026, returning error code 522. The brand’s own website is helloflashback.com.

There is a limitation to establish before interpreting this table: these are figures for Photon Corporation as a whole. Alongside photo booth revenue, they include B2B revenue from event booth rentals, wedding rentals, and brand events. The financial statements do not disclose separate business segments, so they cannot tell us “how much Flashback’s photo booths earn in a year.”

Within that limitation, three facts are visible.

  • Photon Corporation was profitable in every year from 2021 through 2025, with no loss-making year.
  • Revenue increased by 143% in 2025 compared with 2024, reaching 29.77 million baht. Net profit, however, slipped from approximately 570,000 to 560,000 baht, and the net margin fell from 4.6% to 1.9%.
  • The balance sheet shows no non-current liabilities. Shareholders’ equity accumulated from approximately 1.97 million to 5.06 million baht. The company appears to have grown using its own earnings; no external financing was found.

This site’s interpretation of the sharp revenue increase without corresponding profit growth in 2025 is that costs rose alongside revenue: cost of sales increased from 9.24 million to 24.01 million baht. This may relate to expansion, collaborations, or preliminary investment in Flashback Mansion, which opened in 2026. This is an inference; the financial statements do not explain the cause.

Founders and Management Team

The Department of Business Development lists four directors, as checked on September 25, 2026:

  1. ธนพล พิมพ์ผิว
  2. ภควัต ปัทมะ
  3. พิธิวัฒน์ ศิริอำพันธ์กุล
  4. ธนพงศ์ พานิชชอบ

The registration records also specify signing authority: “นายธนพล พิมพ์ผิว ลงลายมือชื่อร่วมกับกรรมการอื่นอีกหนึ่งคน,” meaning “ธนพล พิมพ์ผิว must sign jointly with one other director.”

The first three are the co-founders featured in the two Thai-language media interviews. Thai people commonly use nicknames; the corresponding names are shown below.

Nickname Registered name Role reported in the media
Om (โอม) พิธิวัฒน์ ศิริอำพันธ์กุล Co-founder and principal interviewee in both interviews
Dear (เดียร์) ธนพล พิมพ์ผิว Co-founder, identified in the interviews as the programmer; primary signatory in the registration records
Pak (แป๊ก) ภควัต ปัทมะ Co-founder
Dream (ดรีม) ธนัชชา เขียวเกิด Product Manager; not listed as a director

This table connects the nicknames used by the media to the names registered with the Department of Business Development. All three co-founders are directors, with Dear serving as the principal signatory for contracts. Product Manager Dream is not listed as a director. The fourth director, ธนพงศ์ พานิชชอบ, does not appear in the public reporting this site found, and his role could not be established.

The two interviews are SME Thailand Club’s “FLASHBACK หนุ่มไฟแรงวัย 25 ปี”, published on August 18, 2021, whose title translates literally as “Flashback: Young Men Aged 25,” and Capital’s “ฟัง hello.flashback เล่าเบื้องหลังตู้ถ่ายรูปสุดฮิต”, published on April 28, 2023, literally “Hear hello.flashback Tell the Story Behind Its Hugely Popular Photo Booths.” Both are third-party media outlets. What follows recounts the interviewees’ own statements.

SME Thailand Club reported that the three founders were 25 years old in 2021. This site could not find public career profiles, such as LinkedIn pages, that could be confirmed as theirs. Profiles belonging to people with identical names do not establish that they are the same individuals, so this article does not include personal career histories.

From Interactive Event Installations to Photo Booths

Both interviews describe the same starting point: four partners—Om, Dear, Pak, and Dream—initially took on B2B projects under the Photon name, making interactive installations and installation art for events. Photo booths were just one of the products clients commissioned. In the SME interview, Om described the team as “Creative Technologists.” His examples included an installation for Bangkok Design Week and a photo booth for an Andy Warhol-related event. They wrote all the software themselves.

The pandemic brought events to a halt in 2020. According to the Capital interview, the team decided to create a product directly for consumers so the company would not depend entirely on event projects. Om was more direct in the SME interview: they wanted a product that “ไม่ต้องมีพนักงานคอยเฝ้าตู้,” meaning “does not require an employee to watch over the booth.” This would reduce contact during the pandemic and save on staffing costs.

That requirement was effectively the origin of Flashback’s subsequent business model: if the booth does not need an attendant, it does not need a store of its own. It can operate inside someone else’s business.

Where the Brand Name Came From

In the Capital interview, Om explained that the name expresses the hope that, when people pull out their photos ten or twenty years later, they can “ย้อนแฟลชแบ็ก”—“flash back” to the moment the pictures were taken and remember the people they took them with.

The Business Model: Placing Booths Inside Other Businesses

Flashback has published a complete location graphic showing where its booths are placed.

Screenshot of Flashback’s official Instagram post: a location graphic headed “FIND OUR Flashback Photobooths AT,” listing 30 venues by transit station, including Bangkok cafés and bars such as theCOMMONS, TUBA Bar, OFTR Bar, and Butter Bakery, plus one venue each in Chiang Mai, Tak Province, and Phetchaburi Province

This graphic is the comprehensive location list published on the brand’s official Instagram account in July 2026, organized by transit station. The venue types include theCOMMONS community mall, OFTR Bar and TUBA, Butter Bakery, clothing stores, nail salons, general merchandise shops, and cafés. Almost none are conventional storefronts inside shopping centers. Screenshot from the official hello.flashback Instagram account, published July 17, 2026, and captured by this site on September 25, 2026. Original post.

The two interviews and official materials together reveal several features of the model.

  • Host venues treat the booth as a way to attract customers. In the SME interview, Om said Flashback “ไม่ได้เป็นแค่โพรดักส์แต่เป็น Marketing Tool ให้พาร์ทเนอร์,” meaning “is not just a product, but also a marketing tool for our venue partners.” He claimed it increased foot traffic at theCOMMONS by more than 100%. This is the brand’s own claim, which this site cannot verify.
  • Each booth’s appearance and photo frames are adapted to the venue’s character. The interviews give GUMP’s Ari’s bright, cute style and theCOMMONS’ retro style as examples. The official website’s location data contains 13 entries marked “COLLAB,” each featuring frames by a collaborating illustrator or brand, such as Bunny Shoot Film, Sprinkle On Cake, and summerstuff.marine.
  • There was business even during the pandemic. In the Capital interview, Om noted that theCOMMONS could not sell alcohol during the pandemic and suffered a major decline in business. After Flashback installed a booth featuring a Bunny Shoot Film collaboration, however, it still recorded at least 100 photo sessions a day.
  • Beyond taking photos, the company also operates a photo frame platform. In June 2023, its official X account announced the launch of the “pockr” frame-code feature at ten locations. Users could enter codes for frames designed by other people at the booth. The platform now has its own website, pockr.co, titled “POCKR BY HELLO.FLASHBACK.”
  • There is also a wedding and event rental business. In January 2025, the official Instagram account introduced helloflashback.wedding, offering two sizes of booth for hire.

For pricing, there is no official nationwide price list. On December 1, 2021, the official X account published a thread listing “all Flashback photo booths in Bangkok.” It listed 100 baht per session at ASAP on Siam Square Soi 3 and at theCOMMONS, and 150 baht at Tres on Siam Square Soi 5 (official X thread). The November 2024 give.me.museums collaboration cost 150 baht per session and included a postcard (official Instagram).

The comparison with Hong Kong is interesting. SNAPIO also operates without opening stores, but it embeds its booths in the public circulation areas of premium shopping malls; see Hong Kong’s Photo Booth Businesses Without Stores. Flashback instead enters smaller venues that young people already visit: cafés, bars, and community malls. Both reduce the cost of failure by avoiding rent for an entire store, but they choose different types of venue.

2026: Opening the First Standalone Flagship, Flashback Mansion

After five or six years of placing booths in host venues, Flashback announced the opening of Flashback Mansion on its official Instagram account on May 22, 2026. The post called it “our second home in Ari.” The first home presumably refers to Memories Store at GUMP’s Ari in the same neighborhood. The official description was as follows (official Instagram, May 22, 2026):

  • Flashback Mansion is in Ari, approximately a five-minute walk from Exit 3 of BTS Ari station. It is a black building with a red door beside a parking lot.
  • The ground floor has four photo rooms, with a Flashback ID Booth outside.
  • Flashback Mansion is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00 and welcomes pets.

A separate post introduced the ID photo booth on June 1, 2026, specifically noting that it uses a blue screen and is therefore unsuitable for blue clothing (official Instagram, June 1, 2026).

Moving from hosted booths to an entire building marks a shift in the model. This site’s assessment is that hosted booths allowed the brand to test demand in different neighborhoods at very low cost. Ari is home to both of its dedicated stores and the early GUMP’s Ari location, so opening the flagship there is unsurprising. This is an inference; the brand has not explained its site-selection rationale.

Collaborations and Partnerships

Flashback’s collaborations mainly involve local illustrators, small brands, and artist events. Those documented on its official accounts include:

  • Illustration brand give.me.museums: the partnership was already mentioned in the 2023 Capital interview. In November 2024, they launched the “KINDLY MOMENT” collaboration booth, with each session including a randomly selected floral postcard (official Instagram).
  • Singer Fang Thanunthorn of SPICYDISC: a collaboration mentioned in the Capital interview. Printed photos included a QR code that could be scanned to listen to music.
  • Artist Noey Kanteera’s birthday fan meeting: in April 2023, Flashback developed a new system for the event that let fans decorate their photos with stickers hand-drawn by the artist (official X).
  • Photo frame brand Bunny Shoot Film: a long-term partner. The “Mall Date” collaboration ran from February through May 2025 at four Bangkok locations and Goof Bar & Table in Chiang Mai (official Instagram).
  • Dessert brand BENABAKER: in June 2025, collaboration backdrops launched at both theCOMMONS locations and Velaa Sindhorn Village (joint post by BENABAKER and hello.flashback).
  • Illustrator eyedropperfill’s pet-themed “Beyond the Rainbow” exhibition: frames specifically for cats and dogs launched in September 2026. The exhibition ran from September 18 through November 22 at River City Bangkok.

Screenshot of Flashback’s official Instagram post: dog-themed “Beyond the Rainbow” frames created with illustrator eyedropperfill, featuring six vertical frames and two horizontal frames with grass, rainbows, and cartoon dogs

This post shows the collaboration frames for the pet exhibition. The black cutout areas are where people and pets appear when the photos are taken. The frame itself is the collaboration product, which is also how Flashback, the host venue, and the illustrator can all benefit. The two interviews differ on one point in the timeline. Capital says the brand launched in 2020, with its first machine at Goodhood Market; SME says it began at GUMP’s Ari in early 2021. Both may be correct: one may describe its first event appearance, the other its first permanent location. This article records both. The brand’s reported “more than ten locations” in 2021, “more than 20 machines” in 2023, and the official website’s 38 machines across 30 venues in 2026 also use different units—locations in some cases, machines in others—and cannot be compared directly.

This site found no record of Flashback receiving financing, listing on a stock exchange, being acquired, or expanding beyond Thailand. Department of Business Development records show that all four shareholders are Thai nationals, and the balance sheet shows no long-term liabilities.

What This Research Could Not Establish

  • Official press kit: none found. The wordmark used in this article comes from the brand website’s icon file, not a media asset package.
  • Public founder profiles: no LinkedIn or personal pages could be confirmed as belonging to the founders.
  • Revenue from photo booths alone: Photon Corporation’s financial statements do not disclose separate business segments.
  • A nationwide standard price: none has been published by the brand; prices vary by venue and collaboration frame.
  • The location and operating period of the Chao Phraya River cruise booth: mentioned only in the Capital interview, with no corresponding post found on the official accounts.

Flashback’s Place in the Photo Booth Industry

This article is the Thailand installment in a series on leading photo booth brands around the world. The biggest difference between Thailand and Taiwan or South Korea is that local Thai brands have not followed the store-opening model. Viewed within the wider industry, Flashback is closer to Hong Kong’s SNAPIO and its model of operating without stores than to the approach of opening individual retail outlets in Taiwan and South Korea.

FAQ

Which Country Is Flashback From?

Flashback is a local brand from Bangkok, Thailand. Its operator is Photon Corporation Co., Ltd., whose Thai name is บริษัท โฟตอน คอร์เปอเรชั่น จำกัด. The company was registered with Thailand’s Department of Business Development on May 14, 2020. All four shareholders are Thai nationals, and no foreign investment or financing records were found.

How Many Flashback Stores Are There in Thailand?

It depends on how they are counted. As of September 25, 2026, the brand’s official website location data listed 38 machines across 30 venues. Only two are its own stores: Flashback Mansion in Ari and Flashback Memories Store at GUMP’s Ari. The other 28 are booths placed inside cafés, bars, and clothing stores. This site’s photo booth map lists 32 venues, including two older locations awaiting confirmation beyond the official count. That makes Flashback the brand with the most listed venues in Thailand, but this is not an official nationwide total.

Where Is Flashback Mansion?

It is in Bangkok’s Ari neighborhood, approximately a five-minute walk from Exit 3 of BTS Ari station. The official description identifies it as a black building with a red door beside a parking lot. There are four photo rooms on the ground floor and a Flashback ID Booth outside. It is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00 and welcomes pets. The brand announced its opening in a post on May 22, 2026.

How Much Does a Flashback Photo Session Cost?

The brand has no nationwide standard price list; prices vary by venue and collaboration frame. An official X thread from December 2021 listed prices of 100 or 150 baht per session. The November 2024 give.me.museums collaboration cost 150 baht per session and included one postcard.

Has Flashback Expanded to Taiwan or Other Countries Outside Thailand?

No such expansion was found. Every venue in the official website location data, official Google Maps list, and official Instagram location graphic is within Thailand. Three are outside Bangkok: in Chiang Mai, Tak Province, and Phetchaburi Province.
