To make text-based fan goods, first choose the event market and item, then choose its dimensions. Taiwan’s narrow banners, Japan’s うちわ文字 fan lettering and Korea’s slogan banners have different shapes and uses. Translating the text on a single template does not turn it into a universal specification.

Fan Support is operated by Joe and offers text and geometric templates through the Chinese banner tool, Japanese uchiwa-lettering tool and Korean slogan tool. Each link opens the tool in the indicated language. The English tool currently offers photocards and wallpapers, but does not offer text-based fan goods. Use one of those three existing tools for the items in this guide.

Edit first, then sign in free at id.joelin.cc before downloading. You receive a PNG image file; printing, cutting and shipping must be arranged separately.

Illustrative layouts for a Taiwan banner, Japanese uchiwa lettering and a Korean slogan, designed separately. They are not to scale or print-ready artwork; use the tool’s size menu and the organizer’s rules for actual dimensions.

Three formats: do not mix up the dimensions

Tool language and item Preset size, width × height What the figures mean
Chinese: Taiwan-style fan banner 30 × 10, 45 × 15 cm Common examples from Taiwan fan-goods printing, not rules for every performance
Japanese: うちわ文字, uchiwa lettering 29.5 × 28.5 cm Based on the face size of a large Japanese support-fan product; excludes the handle; check the organizer’s entry rules separately
Korean: 슬로건, slogan banner 60 × 20, 95 × 20, 45 × 10 cm Taken from individual Korean printer products, not a single Korean standard

Tool options reflect the product market served by each language page. The English page currently has photocards and wallpapers, not text goods. For the formats above, choose the Chinese, Japanese or Korean tool. Language does not determine nationality: the same person can choose according to the event they will actually attend.

For Taiwan banner materials, bleed and purchasing trade-offs, see banner sizes and materials. Japanese references are STARTO’s fan-item guidance and HAPILA’s fan-face dimensions. Korean dimensions come from a Red Printing slogan product and Photomon paper slogans. An organizer’s event rules and a manufacturer’s product dimensions are different things; confirm both before ordering or entering.

Four steps to make text artwork without a photo

  1. Open the relevant market’s tool and select text-based fan goods. The Japanese page calls it うちわ文字 and the Korean page 슬로건; the menu label changes with the language.
  2. Select the item size and enter a name, support message and subtitle. Try birthday, border or large outlined-text templates. Keep words short when they need to be readable at a distance, and check that the preview does not crop them.
  3. Adjust the background, signature color and text color. The tool uses system fonts available on your device, so the same text may look slightly different on another device. Check the preview before downloading.
  4. Press download, sign in free, and return to the original browser to continue downloading the PNG. The tool keeps a temporary copy of the pre-login edit; do not switch this step to another browser.

If you enter from a person’s page, their name, birthday or signature color may be prefilled. These are editing conveniences and still need checking. The tool does not supply that person’s photos, nor does it imply authorization from the artist or event organizer. Text goods do not require a portrait photo or a Taiwan e-invoice mobile barcode.

Downloading an image does not finish the printing

The tool exports sRGB PNG. Before sending it to a printer, ask whether PNG is accepted, what bleed is required and which color mode they need, then prepare the file using their template. Bright screen colors are not guaranteed to print identically. This page does not provide print orders, a printing integration or physical delivery.

Whole-sheet layout belongs to the tool’s photocard function. Do not assume a large banner or fan face will fit on one sheet of home A4 paper. For larger text items, first check whether the full dimensions fit the printer’s printable area. Tiling, special materials or shaped cutting may require a suitable output service.

Any original photos used are processed in the browser. On signing in and downloading, the finished design is saved to the member account, automatically deleted after 14 days, and can also be deleted manually. Download it to your own device for long-term keeping. Do not put personal information unsuitable for public display in the text either.

Before entry, check dimensions, materials and holding height

A size template is not a guarantee of admission. Organizers may restrict outer dimensions, thickness, reflective materials, illuminated items or how high an item can be held. Decorations extending beyond a fan’s face may also exceed permitted dimensions. Read the announcement for that particular performance and contact the organizer if unclear.

For example, A3 is 29.7 × 42 cm. A 45 × 15 cm banner has a smaller area, but its long edge still exceeds 42 cm. If a rule limits length and width, comparing area does not establish compliance. For uses of other items, see types of fan goods; for photo cards, see photocard sizes; for everyday phone use, see making an ordinary wallpaper.
